Scraps Of Darkness Guest Designer...

I am honoured to be the Guest Designer this month over at Scraps of Darkness Kit Club

October's "GOTHIC" kit is full of awesome Halloween papers and goodies. Very spooky indeed!!! And it comes with an exclusive sketch - just for the kit! And don't forget there are also add-ons in case you would like a larger assortment of goodies to play with.

"SPOOKY"
This is my first layout created with the Gothic kit, and using the exclusive sketch.

I used orange glitter on the rose petal edges to help them stand out a little.

Did I mention that the Melissa Francis pack of paper dies is awesome!!!!!! There are so many to choose from, it's overwhelming. I loved playing with this kit. It's filled with gorgeous accessories, and it even has glitter! LOL!
Stay tuned for more Halloween layouts in the next couple of days. :-)
Happy scrapping, xxx

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch...

If you hop on over to the Kaisercraft blog - right here - you'll find the current Saturday Sketch #4. Sandie Edwards and I decided to have some fun with the same papers, and same sketch. But the end results are totally different. :-)

"LOVE"
Created using the Kaisercraft Lady Rose Collection.
Here's the link to the sketch sample

I usually use Glimmermist on my flowers, but for something different, this time I coated them with Glimmer Glaze. It gives a much more pearlescent effect.

And I am totally loving the glitter gold embossing powder. :-)
Hope you've had an awesome weekend.xxx

Kaisercraft Base Coat III...

The last release for October is the Basecoat III Collection. I'm of the theory you can NEVER have too much Basecoat. I love the colours in this range - great neutrals and earthy colours.

First up, I decided to check out how well these papers work for a masculine card. What do you think?

And then I decided to try them out on a feminine layout. Yep, the papers work for that too. :-)
For a full list of all the materials used, please check out the Kaisercraft blog - right here

I've used lots of layers, and collectables to create this layout. Then added flowers for a feminine touch. And of course, some bling. ;-)

Happy scrapping! xxx

Kaisercraft Gingerbread Collection...

The Gingerbread Collection (another October release) is a super sweet Christmas range. There's nothing traditional about this range, which makes it perfect for a fun and whimsical Christmas project.

My advent calendar has been created using Gingerbread Collection papers, collectables, and wooden flourishes. For a full list of materials used, please visit the Kaisercraft blog - right here

These little boxes are just so darn cute! I can't wait to fill them with sweets and treats for the Christmas holidays. My girls are going to enjoy this so much.

Now I just have to wait for Christmas to arrive. :-) How many days do we have left?
(Here's a hint: It's less than two months, lol!!!)
Have a great weekend.
Cheers, xxx

Kaisercraft Hidden Treasures Collection...

The second release for October is one of my all time favourites - Hidden Treasures Collection. I just love this vintage collection - so magical and charming.

I created my card with the 6.5 x 6.5 paper pad.
For a full supply list, please visit the Kaisercraft blog - right here

My layout was created with Hidden Treasures papers, collectables, rub-ons, and rhinestones. There are lots of layers and little details on this layout.

I'm in love with those Babushka Dolls. Seriously cute!!!

What's your favourite Kaisercraft release?

Kaisercraft Lady Rose Collection...

It's time to share my creations from the Kaisercraft October releases. First up, we have the Lady Rose collection. This is such a beautiful, elegant, and feminine collection.

First up, I have created this card. Maybe for a friend? Or as a thank-you card?

I created this bird house using Lady Rose papers, collectables, flowers, and rhinestones. For a full list of supplies, please visit the Kaisercraft blog - right here

Can you say "pretty"? Such an unexpected colour palette, but it just works so well together.

What am I going to do with this bird house? I have no idea!!! At the moment, I have it on display in my cabinet. But I am guessing that one of my girls will eventually claim it for their bedroom. :-)
Cheers and hugs, xxx

PaperHaus Remember - October

The October Remember Me challenge has recently gone live on the PaperHaus blog. This time around I decided to record the odd and unknown facts, about myself. Things I want my daughters to know if I am not around to tell them.

"BE ME..."
There are lots of facts here that I bet some of my close friends, and even family, may not know. These are all the things that make me, ME!!!

Here's a close up of the journalling so you can have a good giggle. ;-)
Products Used: Kaisercraft Pickled Pear collection; Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

Thank-you for dropping by, and I hope you are having an awesome weekend!

Imaginarium Designs October Projects...

Yes, it's that time again - my turn on the Imaginarium Designs blog. (It's amazing how quickly it always comes around, lol!). This month I am sharing altered and recycled photo frames, and a layout about one of my dear friends.

Both these frames are recycled - they were originally an awful red-brown colour. But with a little gesso, Croco-Crackling paint, and ID chipboard, they have been given a new lease of life. They will take pride of place in my daughters' rooms.

"SO GLAD WE ARE FRIENDS"
I created this layout to celebrate my friendship with Megan, one of my nearest and dearest friends. We have known each other since university, and have many tales we can tell. ;-)

If you would like to see more photos or details about either of these projects, please visit the Imaginarium Designs blog
Hope you are having an awesome week!
(I am, my hubby is home, lol!!!).

Old Things New...

I've been on bit of a kick recently, taking old things, and making them new again. You know, things like frames, bottles, horse shoes...say what??? Yes, a horse shoe. I couldn't help myself - you can find the full story of why I did this horse shoe, and a mini tutorial on creating this horse shoe, on the PaperHaus blog.

Please don't leave any comments telling me the horse shoe is upside down, and all the luck will run out. I am well aware of that myth, and to be honest, I really don't care (like my life hasn't already been cursed enough???). I liked the horse shoe this way, so that is how I decided to keep it when I altered it. If I want more luck in my life, I'll make my own. :-)

I've kept the colours soft and neutral, and added lots and lots of details (including an Imaginarium Designs chipboard clock tucked behind the tulle).

This piece now hangs proudly in my studio.
(Even thought it was originally my daughter's horse shoe, she isn't getting it back. Sorry!).

I've put my order in for more horse shoes, lol! :-)
Thanks for stopping by. I'll have more altered artwork coming soon.
Cheers, xxx

PaperHaus October Sketch Challenge...

The October sketch is now live on the Paperhaus blog!
Go check out the amazing inspiration from the Design team. Are you going to join in and have some fun?

"LITTLE MISS PIGGY"
I couldn't resist using this photo of Miss K. Isn't she just adorable with her piggy hat, lol!

I followed the sketch fairly closely, adding lots of layers, strips, and details.

And a little journalling to tell the story. :-)

And I have a new favourite stamp from Bo-Bunny. Love, love, love this cup stain stamp.
Products Used: My Mind's Eye papers, Bo-Bunny stamp, Prima flowers, Martha Stewart punch, and My Little Shoebox alph stickers.

Are you ready for the weekend? I AM!!! :-)
Happy scrapping one and all. xxx
