Matchbook Mini Album...

I'm sharing a sweet little matchbook mini album on the PaperHaus blog today.
(I learnt to make these at a retreat many, many years ago).

If you would like to learn how to make one of these, just pop on over to the PaperHaus blog. You will find a tutorial with lots of photos. :-)

They are very quick and easy, and make great gifts and stocking fillers.
Have fun scrapping, xxx

Purple Pumpkin Project #3

Here's my latest project for Purple Pumpkin

"You Are My Sunshine"
I created this layout using Glitz Design papers, masking tape, Glitz stickers, and a handful of Purple Pumpkin embellishments. All the details can be found on the Purple Pumpkin blog, right here

Here's a few close-ups of the details and layering.

Now don't forget to get your entry in for the Purple Pumpkin August sketch. All the details are right here. But be quick - time is running out. :-)

And have you checked out the new products that we now have in the Purple Pumpkin store? What? You haven't??? What are you waiting for? The store has been filled, and is overflowing, with lots of new and pretty embellishments. Stock up quick because they never last long. :-)

Happy Hump Day!

Cheers, xxx

Well, That Was Interesting!

I didn't have a normal day yesterday. Not even close. :-)
Here was the first surprise...

A tiny wild baby rabbit. I was sitting watching a movie (something that I very rarely do but thank goodness I did yesterday, because it probably saved this little one's life). The next thing I know my cat Jellybean runs past the window with something in her mouth. I thought it was a bird, but when I actually caught her, this is what I found. I can say she was NOT happy with my prying it out of her jaws. But bunny is now safe, and a friend of mine is going to keep her for a pet. I was going to release the rabbit back into the wild, but I have no idea where my cat found her/him (I think it is a her).

And then the second surprise happened. No sooner had I dealt with the rabbit drama, then my neighbour's dog (which is HUGE) broke into my yard and terrorised my cats. Let's just say I was NOT happy. But neither was my baby Loki - this is where I found him hiding. And mind you, these curtains are much higher up than your average curtains. They probably sit at around 2.5-3 metres from the ground. Yes, he was stuck, so I grabbed a chair, climbed up, and rescued him. Poor baby was terrified. :-)

So, how was your day? :-D

Where Do I Start?

Yes, I know I have been missing in action. I am so sorry - between Camp Mojo, DT deadlines, husband being home, sleep-overs, and travel trips from hell, I am way behind on my blogging. I'll try and catch up slowly over the next few days.

Today, we shall start with my August Kaisercraft DT projects, which I have not yet shared.

The Tea Party collection is just sooooo sweet! This is one of the new August releases, and I imagine a lot of little girls will be having amazing invites and party decorations in the near future. But I decided to go with something different. I have been wanting to collate all my favourite Facebook and Pinterest recipes in one handy spot - so I made a recipe album, just for them.

Here's a few close-ups of the cover and dividers.

Those alphas were originally white - until I found a gorgeous hot pink ink. :-)

I've added a pocket on the inside of the back cover. It allows me to keep recipes safe until I get a chance to add them to the album.

And I made a "Best Wishes" card too. If you'd like to see more inspiration, including what my team mates created with this collection, check out the Kaisercraft blog - right here

How gorgeous is this collection? Take Note is so incredibly versatile - it just goes with everything. Yes, this is definitely one of my favourites.

Here's a few close-ups of the details.

Did you know I have a die addiction? Yeah, along with several other addictions, lol!!!

Don't fall over from shock, but yes, I have used stamps. I am starting to fall in love with my stamps all over again. And yes, that is a good thing. :-)

And finally, I have finished off the Take Note collection with a simple "Hello" card.
Want to see more inspiration from the team? Just check out the Kaisercraft blog - right here

Stay tuned, because I have lots more to share over the next couple of days, and then we'll start with all the new Kaisercraft releases for September.

And I have some exciting guest designer news coming up soon. :-)

Happy scrapping!!! xxx

A "Magical" Layout...

Here's my last share for today. (I'm trying to get my blog in order before I leave for a retreat on Thursday morning). This layout was created for Purple Pumpkin, as one of my August projects.

"MAGIC"
I decided to have some fun with the new whimsical line from Kaisercraft - Enchanted Garden. I also used one of the Kaisercraft July sketches as my inspiration.

If you hop on over to the Purple Pumpkin blog, you will find more details and photos from this creation.

But I had to share this photo - this little owl is one of my favourite Purple Pumpkin products. :-)

Happy scrapping,

Kaisercraft and the Curiosity Collection...

Have you seen the new Curiosity Collection that Kaisercraft has released? I have to say - it's just a little bit divine! I am so glad I have been fortunate enough to join the Kaisercraft team - I am enjoying every second of designing for this company. Each month, the releases just get better, and better.

 "SO VERY LOVED" CARD
But back to today! Today, I am sharing my creations from the Curiosity Collection. Aren't these colours just luscious!!! Beautiful bright colours, right up my alley. :-)

"CLASSY AND FABULOUS" LAYOUT
I know many people would run at the sight of bright orange, but it just works magically with this collection. I fell in love with that orange and white striped paper the moment I laid my eyes on it.

"CHIPBOARD FAN FRAME"
I decided to try something a little different in regards to my beyond-the-page project. I have to thank Jane from Imaginarium Designs for the chipboard fan. Jane was generous enough to provide me with this project.

I love these wooden flourishes - I think I want to use them on everything!

If you would like to see even more inspiration and designs from the Curiosity Collection, hop on over to the Kaisercraft blog, where all my team mates have been very, very busy.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Big hugs, xxx

Let's Get Shabby...

I have a special treat for you today. I've found a new love - creating canvases. :-) Yes, I truly love creating these projects - I love the details, textures, and colours. Yes, you will definitely be seeing more of these in the near future.

But today, we shall start with this one. You can find more photos and details on the Imaginarium Designs blog. And if you pop on over there, and leave a comment, you will automatically be entered into the draw to win some Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

I found my quote on Pinterest, although I have seen it other places too. The quote is from Pocahontas. Yes, I had someone special in mind when I created this layout. :-)

I cut apart Prima vines, and added them all over the canvas, especially around the window frame, along with heaps of flowers.

The Prima metal and resin embellishments work soooooo well with the Imaginarium Designs chipboard. Kind of like a match made in heaven. <3 p="">

And I couldn't resist adding the zipper - they are just so darn cute!!!

I painted all my chipboard with white gesso before I started the canvas. And then I went crazy with it, while also having a lot of fun with it.

Hmmmm...I think I had better stock up on more ID chipboard and Prima trinkets. :-)
Do you think people would be interested in purchasing these types of canvases if I added them to my Etsy store? Maybe I should consider it?

Thanks for stopping by, and I will be back next week with lots more creations. :-)
I've been very, very busy, lol!

Happy scrapping,
