PaperHaus June Sketch Challenge...

Today, I am sharing my latest creation for PaperHaus. This layout was created using the PaperHaus June sketch, which has been released a few days early because of the HUGE SUMMER BLOG HOP that we have lined up for the 1st June.

I have used lots of Imaginarium Designs chipboard, and the new Porcelain Rose collection from Kaisercraft. I am in love with this range - the unusual colour combination really got my attention.

And I played with my new Heidi Swap sprays too - talk about addictive!!!
(Yes, I've added them all to my never ending collections of sprays and mists...sigh...)

If you would like to view the sketch this layout is based on, just pop on over to the PaperHuas Blog.
Or click this link here. You will find all the rules and submission details on the blog.

Here's a few close-ups of all the details and layers.

I used a lot of die cuts (pre-made and self made); and stickers to create this layout. There was lots of layering involved.

I couldn't help myself - I had to tie the journalling in with the title. :-D

I'm starting to appreciate the joy of die cuts. My number of dies has grown considerably in the past 6 months. And now I am really starting to have fun playing with them.

Now, don't forget to check out the PaperHaus June sketch, and don't forget to join the PaperHaus Summer Blog Hop on the 1st June. All the details can be found on the PaperHaus Blog

Thanks for dropping by!

The Secret Is Out...

After nearly two weeks of exploding with excitement, I have been given permission to share my HUGE secret. :-) Are you ready for it? Are you sitting down?

I made the MAKING MEMORIES COLORBOK Design Team!!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

I cannot even begin to describe how excited, honoured, and thrilled I am. I have to keep pinching myself to make sure this is real. But it is.

The official announcement and team will be posted on the Making Memories blog this week.

I cannot wait to start on this new adventure.
I hope you will join me on this journey too? It's going to be fun.
Lots of inspiration, and lots of creativity. :-)

Happy scrapping everyone!
Big hugs, xxx

Pink Butterfly Tag...

Do you remember the aqua and red butterfly tag I did a little while ago (for Imaginarium Designs)? Well, I finally finished the pink version, of the same tag. And as promised, I am sharing it with you.

These tags are so easy to make. I'm thinking about doing a step-by-step tutorial. Is anyone interested? If you are, please let me know. I might even let you suggest some colour schemes for me to work with. :-D

And I have a new product that I love - embossing enamel. I have used it on the Imaginarium Designs chipboard butterfly. Miss Louise Nelson recently showed me an example and gave me a run down on how the product worked. So I couldn't help myself - I purchased some and took it home to play. Isn't it beautiful!!! It has gorgeous pale flecks of colour through it - this one has pink and gold. But I also have aqua's and silvers. :-D

Here's to a great weekend!

Short Cuts For Scrapping Green...

I have a great little segment up on the PaperHaus Blog. It's all about being "green" when scrapping, and using your left-overs and scraps. For all the details, just head on over to the PaperHaus Blog.

Can you spot all the Purple Pumpkin goodies? Yeah, I'm kind of getting addicted, lol!
And I've rediscovered my punches. :-D

Just a couple of close-ups. All those pieces of chipboard are left-overs from other projects. Yep, this is my way of recycling and re-using!!!

I'm totally in love with all the new Bo-Bunny papers that have been released recently.
I've used the C'est La Vie range for this layout.

Happy scrapping!!!
And thanks for stopping by!

PaperHaus Remember Me May 2013...

I can't believe how quickly time is passing. We have just done our second "Remember Me" segment on the PaperHaus blog. It just seems like yesterday that we started this segment, but now we are working towards our third. :-) Don't forget to pop on over to the PaperHaus blog and check out what the rest of the team have been up to. There is lots of creativity and inspiration to share!

This is my take on the May segment of Remember Me. I wanted to record a conversation of what I would say to myself as a child, if I ever had the chance.

I created my background my layering rub-ons. I didn't go overboard on embellishments and details, as I wanted the focus to remain on the photos and journalling.

And guess what? Now it's your turn! We would love to see your take on this segment. Just link it up on the Remember Me post on the PaperHaus blog

Supplies used: Noel Mignon "Country Lane" kit.

Thank-you for stopping by,
and I hope you are having an awesome weekend!!!
Cheers and hugs, xxx

I received an email today.
And it was wonderful, happy, scrappy news!
In fact, it was AWESOME news. :-)
But I can't tell you any details yet, so I guess you'll just have to wait (im)patiently.

I'm off to have a WONDERFUL weekend. xxx

Sharing A Tag...

So this tag thing is getting addictive, :-)
They are so much fun to make - like mini canvases.

This was the tag that I made for my mum, for Mother's Day. I shared this recently on the PaperHaus blog, along with other projects from the Design Team.
It also matches the card that I made (see blog post here).

Do you recognise the chipboard? Yes, lots of Imaginarium Designs goodies.
I've used a mini clock face, some butterflies, a frame, and a large clock/compass.

Materials used; Tilda papers; ribbon; pins; Prima flower centre; Prima flowers; doilies; Making Memories alpha stcikers; and gesso.
How's everyone's week going so far?
Me? Let's just say life is NEVER boring around here. :-D
Happy scrapping!!! x

Imaginarium Designs May 2013 Projects...

Today was my turn to post my May projects on the Imaginarium Designs blog
I have two projects to share this month - a layout and a Mother's Day card.

My layout was created using Bo-Bunny papers, lots of Imaginarium Designs chipboard, and Prima flowers.
All the details and techniques, plus the materials list, can be found on the Imaginarium Designs blog. Plus there are a couple of extra photos.

I am really happy with how muy clusters turned out on this layout. I think they are very pretty. I've been playing with adding more flowers to my layouts, and I am slowly getting the hang of it. :-)

This layout was all about the layers, fussy cutting, and flowers. Lots of fun was had!!!

And my second project was a Mother's Day card that I created for my mother. This will be her last Mother's Day with her family, so I wanted to create something really, really special. My mum loves gardening, so I think this is the perfect card for her.

(And for those of you who know me, and know that I am NOT a card-maker, this card came together in less than 30 minutes. That is a whole new record!!! Don't expect it to be repeated, lol!)

So who else is making a Mother's Day card for their mother? Want to share? Just add the link in a comment below and I would love to come and check it out.

Cheers to all, xx

Playing With Kits...

The lovely Olga Day from Sassy Scrappers recently contacted me and asked me if I would create some kit layouts for her. Of course I said yes! I love playing with kits. :-)

With the first kit, filled with lovely MME products, I created two layouts. This one, and the one below.
I have to admit, I loved, loved, loved the colour scheme!!!

This is the second layout fromt he MME kit.

The second kit was filled with wonderful Webster's Pages products.
Yep, I had a blast with this kit too! I LOVE girly kits!!!

If you are interested in these kits, you can find them in the Sassy Scrappers store.
Unless they have already sold out. :-)

Happy scrapping!
Cheers and hugs, xx

PaperHaus May Sketch...

The PaperHaus May sketch is live, and once again, we are looking for a guest blog designer to join us for next month's sketch. All you have to do is create a layout using this sketch, and link it to the PaperHaus blog by the 20th of this month.

PaperHaus May Sketch (designed by Trina McClune)

"So Many Of My Smiles Begin With You"
Here is my take on the May sketch. I've used Bo-Bunny's Prairie Chic papers and stickers. There are so many details on this layout, and I loved creating every minute of it. This one was pure fun!!!

Here's a few close-up shots of the layers and details.

I loved the wording on this sticker, so I decided to include it as my title. I think it is perfect.

I even squeezed a Prima packaging board into the layout - that came about by accident. I dropped the packaging on the layout while getting the flowers out, and realised it matched perfectly. So use it I did!!!

Thank-you for dropping by today, and I hope you can come and join us for some creative fun!
Cheers and hugs,

Scrap Around The World Has Arrived!!!

Here is my secret...
A new challenge blog has arrived!!!
Are you ready to play with us?
For all the details please check out the Scrap Around The World blog, and meet the design team. On the blog you will find all the details you need - entry conditions, details, deadlines, and prizes (yes, there are AWESOME prizes up for grabs).
I'll give you a quick run down on how we operate. Each month one of the designer's will be your challenge host (this month Agnieszka Bellaidea is your host). She will present a mood board.

And every month a new sketch will be supplied (designed by me!). Yes, I am the official sketch designer for Scrap Around The World - I'm just a little bit excited!!!!

The mood board and sketch will then be combined for a complete creative and inspirational experience.

Here is my interpretation of Agnieska's gorgeous mood board.
I took most of my inspiration from the 1st and 2nd pictures of the mood board - the colours, the flowers and garden setting, as well as the wooden textures and doors. I translated this onto my page by using gorgeous garden elements, wood print washi, and shades of blues, greens and pinks. I hope this mood board inspires you as much as it did me!

SWAT May Challenge...

Let's have some more sketch fun!
The new sketch is live over at Sketches With A Twist

Sketches With A Twist May Sketch - the challenge is to use a Mother's Day themed photo.

This is my take on the May sketch and twist. I have focused on the journalling, and I have used black and white photos to ensure they both worked with my colour combination.
I'm also falling in love with die-cutting - it's so addictive!!! I just want to add it to all my layouts.

I've used some Purple Pumpkin products for a fun, whimsical touch!
And the papers are a new range from Tilda.

And I've added a touch of gold with my gold Thickers (and a dash of gold embossing powder on the chipboard arbor).
Now it's your turn - get creating and link your layout to the SWAT blog for a chance to win a great prize.
We can't wait to see your fabulous creations, so please come and play!

Cheers and hugs, xxx
