A friend of mine (Kristen Horgan) asked me to create a layout based on the Twilight series that I am currently reading. So here it is.

Starting to enjoy this blogging "thing". I have managed to add a blinkie and link, upload photographs, and post messages without destroying anything - so there is hope for me yet. (-:

First Day...

Wow! My youngest started school today - my babies are all grown up. But there were no tears from me this year. LOL!!! And can I mention that she is the tallest in her class - she took after her mummy - typical!

Jodi has asked me a question in relation to Twilight, so I am going to post my answer for her. "So, are you running with the wolf pack, or are your still and Edward fan???"

Me, I'm an Edward fan. He takes my breathe away every time I read the book (or watch the movie - I've seen it twice already). (-:

It's a really hard choice to make (would hate to be Bella!). Wolves have been one of may favourite animals as long as I can remember, but I have always had a fascination with vampires (I studied Bram Stoker's Dracula at university). So to mix both into one story is the absolute ultimate reading for me.

As a friend (Kristen) of mine recently said, "Who wouldn't love Twilight - to be 18 again, with the perfect partner, and a chance of immortality. What's not to love!"

Had a blast teaching my class at Blossie's (It's a Blinged Up World - using bling in scrapbooking). I was supposed to do two classes but there were not enough customers to make the second class viable. )-:

Have stocked up on the new range of Bazzill colours and the new Bazzill Swiss Dots cardstock - all just released. Very yummy.

My 10 year old niece is staying over tonight so I have two very happy daughters. And some peace and quiet. They all play well together so they are not pestering me every 5 seconds.

Trying to make plans for some fun tomorrow as hubby returns to work Monday morning. He will be gone for three weeks. Maybe Seaworld? Will see how everyone feels in the morning...

Friday 23 January 2009

Okay. I'm a bad, bad, bad girl. I went to bed about midnight last night, fairly usual for me. But I took the second book (New Moon) from the Twilight series with me. I thought I might read a few pages before I fell asleep. Well, I finished the book at 5am this morning. (-:

Seriously, I cannot put a good book down once I start reading it. So tonight, NO BOOKS!!! I have to teach classes at Blossie's tomorrow, and I need my wits about me. Maybe I should just wait until Tony goes back to work (Monday morning) and the kids start school (Wednesday morning). Because I know once I start reading the last two books, nothing is going to get done.

Early night for me tonight. Will let you know how the classes go tomorrow.

Wednesday 21 January 2009

I've started back at Karate after nearly two year's abscence. But this time I've made my husband and daughters join me - so now it is a family affair. And they love it! And I already feel a deeper sense of peace and relief in myself - it was like going home after being away such a very long time. And it made me happy (well, at least until I actually started training and remembered just how hard and demanding it can be!) (-:

Today was a quiet day for me as Tony took the girls fishing. And they all came home dirty and smelling like fish. Uggh!!! At least this time Keana didn't fall in the river.

I'm trying to scrap but have come to a halt. Maybe tomorrow?
