Noel Mignon Summer Tag Layout...

I've just signed up for the next round of layout tag over at Noel Mignon's. I love this challenge and have been playing for a couple of years now. If you want to join in, all the details are on the community site over at Noel Mignon's

Here's the layout I created for the last round of layout tag. Titled: Sunset. I can't remember which Noel Mignon kit I used - I have too many of them to remember all the details, lol!
Yes, this is a more simple style of scrapping for me. :-)
Sometimes I just need a break from the usual!!!

Playing With Stencils and Colours...

I've got new Crafter's Workshop stencils to play with, and I've got more on the way. And I am totally in love with them. I'm starting to experiment with the Pan Pastels and how they work with the stencils - the colouring, the texture, the overall effect. I think I could sit at my desk all day and just keep creating stencilled backgrounds, lol!

There is no rhyme or reason to this layout. It just "is". I started with the stencilled background, added the stamps, then the washi tape, and then went from there. I had no idea what I was creating when I began - I just went with the flow.

Products Used: Imaginarium Designs chipboard (Tulip Flourish) ; Echo Park For The Record 2 papers and stickers; Tim Holtz stamps; Crafter's Workshop stencil.

Just a close-up of the journalling. And in case you were wondering, I actually cut the Tulip Flourish up into smaller pieces to use on this layout. You can see where I have used it as leaves and a flourish for my flowers.  Thanks for dropping by. Hope you are having a fabulous wekend!!!

Washi Banner Fun...

I love washi tape! But seriously, who doesn't? I've been wanting to make a washi banner for quite some time, and today was the day. (I usually cut my banners by hand or use die cuts).

Not only did I make one washi tape banner, I made three!!! The first one was a little fiddley as I had no idea what I was doing, but the 2nd and 3rd banners were quick and easy. All you need is a length of twine, and several strips of washi tape that you fold in half over the twine, at varying intervals. You then cut each banner  flag to the length required. And I totally love the look of them. If you've ever thought about playing with washi tape, then this is a good excuse.

I don't like things moving around on my layout, so I actually held each banner flag piece down with a dab of Helmar Liquid Scrapdots on the back. It's a double bonus - it keeps the banner flags in place, and gives extra dimension to my page.

It's amazing how well the Twinkling H2O's cover the Imaginarium Designs chipboard. It's rich and full of colour, and no streaks or patches. Love it!

Other Products Used: My Mind's Eye papers; My Mind's Eye transparencies; Prima flowers and leaves; washi tape; Twinkling H2O's; Zva Creative rhinestones; Kindy Glitz; Ingvilde Bolme Prima inks; Doodlebug Glitter; Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots; twine; Stickles; white gel pen; and black pen.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

A Triple Layout Bonus...

Today it's my turn over on the Imaginarium Designs blog. And you are in for a treat - I have three layouts to share with you today (yes, I've been busy, lol!). And as an added bonus, Imaginarium Designs are giving away a prize (chipboard of course!!!) - all you have to do is leave a comment on the ID blog

My first layout has been created with Jillibean Soup papers (I absolutely adore this range of kraft papers - I hope they do another range with aquas, teals, and limes!!!). Titled: 2 Love. I've used lots of Imaginarium Designs chipboard - numbers, bicycle, and hot air balloons. For all the details on this layout and the products I have used, please hop on over to the Imaginarium Designs blog.

I've always wanted a pretty pink bicycle - now I've got one, lol!
This was easy to create - just ink, Dimensional Magic, and bling.

My second layout is all about having a Parisienne feel to the layout. Titled: Ooh-La-La! (This layout nearly DIDN'T happen because my cat chewed the chipboard Eiffel Tower - luckily I was able to get another piece from Seriously Scrapbooking - silly cat!!!)

I've used the Imaginarium Designs Eiffel Tower, embellishments, photo corners, and alphabet. The papers are from Webster's Pages.

For the complete details on how I created this layout and the products I used, please visit the Imaginarium Designs blog.

My third layout is all about sweetness and girly things. Titled: Girly Girl. Did I mention I had a LOT of fun creating this layout? I've used papers from My Little Shoebox.

I LOVE playing with the Imaginarium Designs Tinies products - they are just so cute!!!

For more details on how I have created this layout and used the Imaginarium Designs products, please visit the Imaginarium Designs blog. And while you are over there, don't forget to leave a comment so you can be in the running to win an awesome package of ID chipboard goodies.
Thanks for stopping by - I hope you are having an amazing day!

Crafty Sketches - August

Things have changed a little over at Crafty Sketches - usually we design our own sketches, but recently we've started using sketches from other sketch designers.

This month our August Sketch is designed by Becky Fleck over at Page Maps
Cute, isn't it? This sketch is a whole lot of fun!!!

Here's my take on the sketch. Titled: Pillow Fight. Most of the papers and decorations are from Crate, and the transparency is from Hambly. You are actually lucky to be viewing this layout because my cat decided to "help" me with it while the Liquid Pearls" were still drying. Fortunately, I was able to save it and make it passable for viewing (I really didn't want to have to do it all over again, lol!).

Sketches With A Twist - August Challenge

The new August sketch is up over at SWAT! This one's all about the circles.

August Sketch (designed by me) - the August twist is to use mists or paint.
Make sure you pop on over and check out all the awesome creations by the Design Team.

This layout nearly did my head in. Seriously, I struggled with it soooo much.
Not because of the sketch, but because of the colours and what I had visualised in my head. I just couldn't get it to materialise on the layout. In the end, I settled for this - it's close to what I wanted, and who's going to know the difference?
I used Tattered Angels Glimmermists on a Heidi Swapp mistable board to create my background. The flowers and leaves are canvas mistables from Prima. I misted (and painted) all of these with Glimmermist. Then I finished off with some Zva Creative rhinestones and flourishes; Maya Road transparency doilies; a little stamping around the edges; and a Kaisercraft sentiment rub-on.
