No Greater Love...

Taking a few moments to share another layout from Imaginarium Designs. I created this layout for my November project, and you can find more photos and details on the Imaginarium Designs blog. Here

 "NO GREATER LOVE..."
I had a wonderful time creating this layout, playing with different coloured Inka-Gold's. The texture and shimmer is just amazing.

For my background, I used a mixture of different spray mists (Tattered Angels Glimmermist and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine). It's amazing what happens when you spray those mists with a little water.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you are having a wonderful day.

Odd One Out...

Time for another share. :) This layout is from October,

"ODD ONE OUT"
Since I don't have "boys", I went with the next best thing - my rabbit, Mr Lamington. :)
Isn't he a cutie!!!

I've used some of the new release chipboard designs, and teamed it with lots of oranges, golds, and blues. And finished off with lots of stars and Swiss crosses.

Thanks for stopping by. :)
I hope your weekend is as awesome as mine.

Playing Catch-Up...

I am so far behind on my blogging and sharing, and to make matters worse, Christmas is just around the corner, and then it will be the start of a new year. I don't think I'm ready, lol!

So, before I lose this year all together, let's play catch-up on a few blog posts. Today's post is a share from October. I created two projects for my Imaginarium Designs October post. For more photos, and details on how I created these projects, please visit the Imaginarium Designs blog, right here

LOVE LIFE MINI CANVAS
I'm becoming addicted to mini-canvases. These are so easy to make, and they make a beautiful statement with colour and texture.

Lots of chipboard, metals, glitter and sparkles.

JUST FOR YOU CARD
A quick and simple card. Elegant and feminine, and perfect to give to a friend.

Thanks for stopping by and joining me.
I hope you have had an awesome weekend
(I did - it was my birthday and we went to the Bird In Hand winery for lunch!!!).

What Can I Do With A Pringles Can?

Have you missed me?
I am finally back, after a long, and much needed break.
Lots of things have changed in my life since I last shared a post (my partner and I have separated), but everything is good, and I am truly happy and content.

So, I am going to start with a long over due post, sharing three projects I created for the Australian Scrapbooking Ideas magazine, more than 6 months ago. Unfortunately, this magazine is no longer in circulation, and the issue with these projects is no longer available.

The theme was to create projects using Pringle cans. After a quick look on Pinterest, I realised the trick was going to be choosing just 3 projects. There are so many things that can be made with Pringle cans - who would have known!!!

This project was created by cutting a Pringle can down and using a stencil and texture paste to create a "brick-like appearance on the outside of the wishing well. I then used chipboard to create the cover of the well, punched strips of paper for the shingles, and a die cut fence to wrap around the bottom of the well.

Next up where these three cute Christmas decorations. Forgive me for the slightly unclear images, but the glitter inside the decorations decided to stick to the plastic cover. It was one of those lessons where you learn the hard way, lol! (Note to self - next time use Epsom salts). :)

And finally, I created a jar for my girls to keep all their hair ties in. I am so sick of finding hair ties all over my house. Let's home this solution works!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I have missed all my blog followers and friends, and I hope to bring you lots of new projects and inspiration in the near future.

Cheers and hugs, xxx

Kraft Plus May Guest Designer...

This month, Imaginarium Designs are one of the proud sponsors for the Kraft + challenge blog. So, a couple of the ID designers (me included) have joined forces with Kraft+ as guest designers for the May challenge.

If you would like to play, and join in the fun, just check out the Kraft+ blog for all the details.

"I SMILE BECAUSE OF YOU"
I loved the colours, textures and details of the May challenge. While they are not colours that I would traditionally choose for myself, I still found them beautiful to work with. I think orange might be my new favourite colour.

Can you see that? I did sequins! :) Yeah, I have orange sequins, and I'm in love with them.

And beads. Yes, I used those too. :) Sooooo much fun.

And I got to play with my Pan Pastels to create my background. And I threw in some wire, flowers, and sparkles, just for fun. :)

Here's the gorgeous mood board that I used for my inspiration.
So, are you going to give it a shot?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Couture Creations "Pansies For Thoughts" Card...

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I keep saying I can't make cards. I still feel that way most times, but sometimes I get lucky, and it all comes together nicely.
This is one of those times, lol!

Today, I am sharing my "Pansies For Thoughts" card, a DT creation for Couture Creations

If you would like to make this card, you can find the full instructions and product list on the Couture Creations blog. There are lots of photos to help explain the process.

And yes, that is Imaginarium Designs chipboard you can see on my card. :)
I love that their products work so well with Couture Creations products.

I hope you like my first attempt at a die cut easel card (it was easier than I thought, lol!).

Imaginarium Design's April Theme...

This month, our Imaginarium Designs April them is "White With Sand". For the entire month, our design team have been playing along with the April Challenge over at White With 1. To check out all the Design team creations, just visit the Imaginarium Designs blog.

"ADORE & LOVE"
Here's my take on the challenge. I've always loved the challenges over at WW1. There is something about a pure white layout, with just a dash of colour.

I know these chipboard pieces look cream, but in reality, they are more white. :) The glossy accents just messed with the colour a little.

I've added splashes of glitter, on the flower petals, and random groups of pearls all over the page.

Here, you can see that I have used a mask and texture paste all over my background. Once dry, I placed the mask back over, and coloured some sections with sand coloured ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
If you want to join in the challenge, you better hurry - tomorrow is the last day. :)

A Moment In Time with Couture Creations...

Have I mentioned how much I am loving being part of the Couture Creations team? As you may know, I love creating feminine, pretty, sweet things, and all the Couture Creations products are right up my alley. And the papers? Oh my, I'm in fussy cutting heaven. :)

"MOMENT IN TIME"
Moment In Time is my second April project for Couture Creations, and you can find step-by-step instructions on how to recreate this layout on the Couture Creations blog

I'm in love with those flourish dies. They are so delicate and pretty. You will definitely be seeing a lot more of those in future works, lol!

Yes, I have included my mandatory bling. Did you know Couture Creations has a HUGE supply of rhinestones and pearls in all shapes and sizes? You guessed right - I am one happy scrapper! :)

And even better, is that Couture Creations and Imaginarium Designs are "partner" companies, so I can still use all my favourite chipboard pieces at the same time. Bonus!!!

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a fabulous week.

Cotton Spools and Bobbins...

Sometimes it may seem that I am quiet, and not creating much. But it usually means I am working behind the scenes, on something that I can't yet share. And this is the perfect example - three beautiful creations that I can finally share with you - all published in the current Australian Scrapbooking Ideas magazine (Issue 31).
If you would like to recreate these projects, you will find the step-by-step instructions in the magazine, pages 70-73.

My first creation is a sewing display decor item.

I really enjoyed creating this project because I got to use up a lot of bits and pieces that I have been saving forever.

These pretty babies, are photo holders. :)
The dress form shapes can be found on Pinterest.

And finally, a pretty wreath for my daughter's room. She loves sewing and creating, and her favourite colours just happen to be black and red. :)
Thanks for stopping by.

Mix and Match Layout Tutorial...

Hello everyone!!! I'm sharing my April Imaginarium Designs project with you today. And as a bonus, I've done a step-by-step tutorial on the Imaginarium Designs blog, to show you how you can create this wonderful layout for yourself.

This project was all about colour, fun, and experimenting. Sometimes we all get so tied up with deadlines, that we forget to create for fun. :)

Gold has been the big trending "colour" of choice in recent months,  with so many companies producing gold accents and products. So, I decided to make the most of it, and add a little shimmer, shine and sparkle to my layout.

I love, love, love crackle mediums. They produce such a beautiful texture and visual imagery.
Thank-you so much for stopping by and joining me today.
Don't forget, if you'd like to create this layout for yourself, just visit the Imaginarium Designs blog for full details. If you do decide to create this layout, I'd love to see your masterpieces. Just leave a link here on this blog post, and I'll come and share some love with you.
Hope you are all having a wonderful week.
Cheers and hugs, xxx:)
