Guess What I Got...
A lovely, talented lady by the name of Jodi Dolbel awared me "your blog is as deer to me as cupcakes" award. So I wanted to share this with you all before I leave for my break. And in return, I would like to pass this ward on to the following people who inspire me:
The very funny and talented Jenn Stevens. This is one amazing lady!
Our very own Kylie Symmons. I owe her an award from many moths ago. Sorry I have been so slack Kylie. Here's to you!!! (-:
To Liz Hicks who recently created the most wonderful "rainbow" layout. This is one very clever and talented lady!
My teacher and dear friend, Annette Gearside. I have you to thank for this addiction! (-:
The wonderful Sine Grant, who has shown me that anything is possible (with guidance) (-:
The wonderful Wendy Gaskin - thank you for being a friend.
And finally, Janine Kennedy - this is one very talented scrapper whose work continually amazes and inspires me.
I hope you enjoy your awards ladies, and don't forget to share it with others... (-:
This is the award that the wonderful Kylie Symmons gave to me several months ago. I have only just recently become adept and confident enough with my blog, to work out how to save and upload this to share with everyone. I am going to share this with all the wonderful bloggers listed above. I think they all deserve a double award! Don't you? Have a great weekend everyone. See you next week.

Not enough hours...
I'm sorry for being so slack again - there just aren't enough hours in the day. I have been so busy packing and organising for my week away - I've got to meet my layout deadlines, and organise schedules for my mum who is babysitting. Plus just deal with everyday stuff, and I am running out of time. I leave tomorrow, after lunch, for one glorious week away, with no children or husband, just me and my scrapbooking supplies. I am going to the Sunshine Coast and staying at King's Beach on the waterfront. I plan on finishing most of my OTP stuff (I probably have 40 or 50 unfinihed projects). So hopefully I will come back with lots of pretty things to share with you.
This photo (above) is of Malayla at her recent annual modelling reshoot for her portfolio. She's with Brats Models. It's my absolute favourite photo of her, and I just wanted to share it with you. She loves having her photo taken. I just hope she still feels the same when she hits her teenage years. (-:

Last Sunday Keana was feeling "under the weather", so I sent Malayla off to Caitlain's place for the day, and spent a quiet day at home with my younger daughter. And I let her stay in her pj's all day (she loves staying in her pyjamas). Mix this with her favourite pastime - blowing bubbles, and I have one very happy little girl. Here she is at 3:30 in the afternoon, in her pj's, blowing bubbles in our backyard. If only her daddy knew what we got up to when he is away! (-: He probably wouldn't believe me.
This week's challenge for the Wicked Princesses 7 Deadly Sins Competition is GREED. The challenge was to use yellow, black and white, a stamping technique, and to journal in list form. So I have created a layout about my obsession with pretty lingerie (hey! at least my husband appreciates it!!!). (-: I've called it "Life Is Too Short To Wear Boring Underwear", and I have listed some of my favourite brands in my collection. If you think my layout is worthy of your vote, please send your votes to wickedprincesses@y7mail.com . Voting is open from 8am Saturday morning, until 8am Monday morning. And all work can be found in the Wicked Princesses gallery.
Here's a layout I created for the Wicked Princesses Bling Scrap Challenge last weekend. This was a lot of fun because the colours and style of layout are so not my usual. It's nice to try something different and to push myself out of my comfort zone. The photo is of my daughet malayla and her firend from school, Lily. This was taken at the Ashton's Circus performance that we attanded back in April.
This is my card for the Wicked Princesses 7 Deadly Sins Challenge. This week we had to use black, white and yellow, a journalling block as an embellishment, and a stamping technique. So I created my own journalling block with cardstock and punches, then cut it in half to create butterfly wings.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will catch up with you all next Sunday wehn my holiday is over. See ya! I'm off to relax and have some "me" time...did I mention that I've got more than 20 other scrappers joining me for a weekend of scrapping, fun and games. Plus really yummy food! Hee! Hee! Hee!

Firstly, I must apologise for being so slack this week with my blog. Unfortunately, both my girls have been unwell during the week, and it's taking it's toll on all of us. But at least we can have a nice quiet weekend to recover (I hope!) (-: Next week should be much better. Although I do need to start packing and organising for my Scrap With V Scrapping Retreat. I will be away from Sunday 24th May to Sunday 31st May. I have one whole week with no children and no husband. All I will have is a nice quiet hotal room with LOTS of scrapping supplies. Sounds like heaven, doesn't it?
The girls went to a school friend's birthday pary at The Full Moon Hotel a few weeks ago. And that got to show off their new party dresses. Malayla had the dark pink, and Keana had the light pink. Both girls had a great time, and it was a great venue for a kiddies birthday party. They have their own separate area with lots of party games and a host.
Here's my youngest looking way too sweet. She can't help herself - if she sees a camera, she has to strike a pose. (-:

The next Crafty Sketches sketch was released today. Here's my take on it. Decided to use up a whole pile of leftover scrap Doodlebug paper. I just couldn't bring myself to throw it away. I like the bright colours - they suit the Easter theme.
Here's my card for Week 4 of the Wicked Princesses 7 Deadly Sins Challenge. This week is "SLOTH". The criteria for the card was monochromatic light blue, stitching, and one hand made embellishment.
And here's my layout for SLOTH. The criteria this week was a monochromatic light blue layout, with stitching, one hand made embellishment, and one hand made embellishment made from a non-traditional scrapbooking supply. Why not head over to the gallery and have a look at all the amazing layouts? Everyone has done an incredible job. If you'd like to vote, you can send them here. Don't forget voting commences at 8am on Saturday morning and finishes at 8am Monday morning.
Hope everyone has something exciting planned for the weekend. If my girls are up to it, we are heading off to the Redcliffe Kite Festival. Should be a great opportunity for some fantastic photos. (-:

The Perfect Ending...
I have exciting news to share! I am April's 1st place winner for the White With One Blog Challenge. The challenge was to use white as the main colour, coral as the additional colour, and to journal on the photo. Here's my winning layout. (-: So it's the perfect ending to the perfect Mother's Day!
I got spoilt today - I finally got my Twilight DVD (my very own Collector's Edition). Plus a Twilight bookmark, keyring, and carry bag. My darling girls also purchased some soaps and room oils for me at their School's Mother's Day stalls. And they made me beautiful cards and a wall hanging - it was all just so sweet and perfect. Except for hubby being at work. That was a little sad for all of us.

This is my double layout (Apple Addict) for this months sketch at Aussie Pub Calls Roadmaps. They are celebrating their first birthday with prizes and a double layout sketch, so why not drop in for a visit?
Here's a layout I did from a kit I purchased from the USA. Sanity and Sanctuary. It's all about my scrapping space and what it means to me (the world!!!)
Here's another layout (Beauty) using the same kit. The papers are different to what I would normally choose for myself so I am really enjoying playing with them. (-:
Here's my layout (Grown) for the May White With One blog challenge. This months challenge was to use white as the main colour, olive green as the additional colour, and to include birds on the layout. I decided to play with some spray inks to shake things up a little - my layouts often tend to be too neat and perfect. I wanted something a little messier this time. (-: I think it worked! Do you?

WRATH - Week 3 Challenge...
Finally, I've completed it - my layout for Week 3 of the Wicked Princesses 7 Deadly Sins Challenge. This took me forever. I don't know if it was a lack of "mojo" or simply lack of experience at creating "arty" layouts. Either way, it was very frustrating. This weeks Challenge was WRATH. We had to use the colours red, black and white, distressing and/or paper tearing, and inking and/or paints.

Forgotten layouts...
This layout was created for Prima's April BAP. "My Baby". I've used the new Prima Mommy and Me papers, plus the new Prima butterfly. I'm seriously in love with these bright colours.
Here's my latest creation for the Crafty Sketches website. "Goofy". I've used the new Bo-Bunny papers, flowers and chipboards. Again, loving these bright colours. Definitely a new favourite of mine.
Here's the first of the three layouts I created for Blossie's. "Sweet 1". These are the April layouts. The theme was acetate or vellum. Definitely a challenge using vellum. I haven't used this medium for more than a year, maybe even nearly two.
