Imaginarium Designs June Projects...

Today it's my turn to share a couple of cute creations over on the Imaginarium Designs blog. Let's have a look at what I've been up to...

I've created two cute and sweet birthday cards. (Both created with Bo-Bunny papers).

With two girls, I am forever going to parties, so these cards will definitely come in handy.

"YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE"
A quick and easy layout using Pink Paislee papers, Prima flowers, and Imaginarium Designs chipboard. For more details and close-ups, check out the Imaginarium Designs blog

Thnak-you for dropping by today.
I'll be sharing another creation tomorrow.

The Battle Is Over...

At about 3:30am this morning, my mother peacefully passed away, after a long battle with cancer.

She is no loner in pain.
But she will be greatly missed by all of us, especially her grand-children.
She was 62. Far too young to die.
RIP Mum.

You Make Me Smile...

Today I am sharing a layout over on the Purple Pumpkin blog. Now, most of the time I scrap my daughters, but this time I decided to go with one of my furry babies. Meet Loki!

This is my baby boy, the youngest of nine cats. Yes, you read that right - 9 cats (it's a long story!!!). He is the most adorable, smoochy, funny baby ever, and he is happiest when I am holding him.
I don't regret getting him, not one little bit. :-)

He was named after a mischievious elf, from a book that I read, not after Thor's brother (my Loki is definitely not a villain, lol!).

I had a lot of fun with layout using stamps and mists, and washi tape (of course!).
Love, love, love my washi tape!

Products Used: Jillibean Soup papers, stickers, and die cuts: Prima flowers: Zva Creative rhinestone flourishes; Kaisercraft pearls; Purple Pumpkin crochet flowers, cloth buttons, resin flowers, and washi tape.

Thank-you for stopping by. Hope you are having a great day!

Paperhaus Floral Wreath Project...

Here's my latest project for PaperHaus. This gorgeous floral wreath was created with Bo-Bunny Prairie Chic papers, and comes with step-by-step instructions over on the PaperHaus blog

Without a doubt, this has been one of my more challenging projects. Lets just say my Big Shot got quite the workout, lol! I have no idea how many dies I cut to create this!!!

But the end result was worth it. I totally love this wreath, and cannot wait to find somewhere to hang it (permanently). Maybe on my bedroom door? We never use the front door, so I kind of think it might be wasted there.

I've sprayed the entire wreath with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmermist, and highlighted the leaves, and large flowers, with a touch of Kindy Gltiz.

And don't forget, if you would like the instructions to make this wreath, you will find them on the PaperHaus blog, along with photos, and a few tips.

Thank-you for stopping by today, on this wet, cold, and windy day (well, at least here in Mount Barker it is!!!). Apparently, the next 3 days are going to be even colder, lol! :-) Lucky my husband isn't home - he'd probably cry.

Cheers and big hugs,

Sketches With a Twist June Challenge...

Have you seen the new sketch that is up over at Sketches With a Twist

June Sketch - Twist is to use anything transparent.
I will be leaving the SWAT Design Team, from next month. The time has come to move on,
as my life is about to get extremely hectic over the next 1-2 months.
So keep an eye out at SWAT for a new sketch designer, and new team members - and a whole pile of new inspiration!

 "CHERISH"

This is my take on the sketch and twist. I have used a clear alpha letter, clear stickers (ttile), and a clear transparency heart.
And I've used lots, and lots, of Purple Pumpkin goodies. :-D

Here's a few close-ups!
Lots of owls - my daughter and I both love owls.

Don't you just love those splatters? Yes, I had fun doing those!

More splatters, a little bling, and a touch of washi tape.

And some Prima flowers to finish it all off!!!

Products Used: My Little Shoebox papers and stickers; Purple Pumpkin embellishments (doilies, buttons, tags, and twine); washi tape; Prima flowers; brads; Liquid Pearls; and Heidi Swapp Colour Spray.

Thanks for stopping by!

"GOT TO LOVE A SUMMER TREAT"

Today, I have a 'sweet' Summer themed project to share with you. Summer isn't Summer, without an icy cold treat. Snow-cones are a huge favourite with both my daughters (and me too, lol!). So refreshing on a hot, hot day!!!

The title was created using a variety of alpha stickers, and a "Summer" tag sticker.
The background was created with layers of papers, journal cards, and washi tape.

A pinwheel adds a lovely summery feel to the layout... And a touch of bling for added sparkle!

A punched border around the edge, and a heart banner to signify the "love" of Summer.

Supplies Used: Noel Mignon "Beach Blvd" kit (the perfect kit for a Summer themed layout); Basic Grey P&J paper; washi tape; Glossy Accents; and Kindy Glitz.

Purple Pumpkin June Sketch Challenge...

The new June Sketch is now live on the Purple Pumpkin blog. Don't forget to hop on over and check out all the inspiration from the other team members.

Purple Pumpkin June sketch designed by Debbie Burns.

"TOO SWEET"

Here's my take on the June sketch. I have stayed fairly true to the sketch, but I have added a few extra elements to make it my own. I have sprayed the crocheted doilies with Heidi Swapp's Colour Shine sprays, and I have added stamping and PP washi tape to my background. I have also included lots of other Purple Pumpkin products - felt and lace flowers, kraft tags, felt and button star and heart embellishments, flair button, fabric button, twine, and resin rose.

Products Used: Basic Grey papers; Prima rhinestone flourish; Kaisercraft stamps; Crafter's Workshop mask; texture paste; Glimmermist; and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine sprays.

Happy scrapping,

Scrap Around The World June Challenge...

My apologies for these blog posts being so late, but I have been away visiting my mother. So, without further ado, lets get started...

The new sketch and mood board is live at Scrap Around The World.

So what do you think of all the retro images and soft pastel colours? Aren't they beautiful.

"A MOMENT IN TIME..."

Here's my take on the sketch and mood board. I have taken my inspiration from the second photo (rose, camera, and colours), and from the book images (I have used written script on various parts of my layout). And as an added touch, I have included paper with mini images of cameras, as part of my background.

Products Used:
Amy Tan papers; American Crafts papers; Purple Pumpkin embellishments (tags, twine, material buttons, flair buttons, and crocheted doily); Prima flowers.

Did you check out the winners from the SATW May Challenge? Aren't they awesome!
Now, who's going to join us this month? There are some awesome prizes up for grabs!!!

Happy scrapping,
Cheers xxx
